One Frustration Down--2 Million to Go!!!

Rick and I finally got the townhouse we have been trying to get! I was very excited, it seems like a really nice place, and we were having paperwork issues. Also, my property management company here in Corvallis decided they were going to be jackasses and make everything a lot harder than it really needed to be. They were refusing to send over my rental verification, which was holding up the entire process of completing our application. Gahr. But! We got it!! Needless to say, I'm excited!

The place we will be staying is called Dutch Village, and they are townhomes, which means they are two stories. The first floor is the living room, kitchen, and laundry room(which is really just a closet) and a half bath, the second floor is two bedrooms and a full bath. Here is the floorplan.

We got an apartment by the pool, which I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I'm hoping it will be fine. Rick is worried about people being noisy and inconsiderate, but the community we will be living in isn't really a college community, so I don't think we'll have to worry about that too much. The inside of the apartment from what we can tell looks really nice. There's laminate wood flooring in the kitchen and dining room, and large french doors that lead out to the patio we have. There's also a pretty big living room, and lots of closet space. The only thing we haven't seen a picture of is the bathroom, so I'm crossing my fingers its bigger than the one I have now!!

So needless to say I'm pretty excited! I was getting really worried that we wouldn't get the apartment, and we didn't really have a backup plan. When Rick called this morning, the first thing he said was: "We didn't get the apartment". I was so bummed out. But then he was like "No I'm just joking, our address is.....".

Well...enough about apartments. I've slowly been getting things packed up, but man it seems like I still have a million more things to get into boxes. I think I'm going to get rid of a lot of stuff, just so I don't have to pack it all. Free stuff at Kailey's!!

That's all for today.

Love,
Kailey
