Oh Boy oh Boy

Well, I decided to copy Rick and make a blog so that everyone can know what's going on in the life of me, since I will be so far away. I'll probably write in it as much as I can, because well I like blogs, I think they are somewhat fun. =)

Anyways.....For those of you who don't know, I am moving to North Carolina with Rick, my boyfriend of 1 and a half years. He got accepted at NCSU, and was offered not only full tuition paid but a living stipend per month for being a TA. Needless to say, I was very excited (and proud!) for him.

Moving to North Carolina is an adventure in itself, as I have never even been on the east coast, except for in an airplane on the way to Germany. I'm very excited to get there, but I will have to take a short break from school. However, once I can get back into school I will be attending NCSU as well. Unfortuantely, they don't have a Radiation Health Physics program, so I will have to change my major, but I am thinking about Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, or Toxicology as a switch. Then I hope to go on and get my Masters degree in Radiation Health Physics.

Rick is in Idaho for the summer, which is really hard being apart from him for so long. I did get to go see him last week, and I had a blast! I even got to see where he works, the MFC building of Idaho National Lab. (MFC stands for something I can't remember....something about fuel.) I also got to go to his company picnic, and meet many of the people he works with. Its funny to be around a bunch of Nuclear Engineers, I notice they all talk really smart. :)

Anyways, thats about all I have for this post. Need to get packing, finish up the rest of the apartment. I'm going to quit my job probably sometime this week, mainly so I can go home and spend some time with Mom and Dad before I have to move so far away. I won't be back on Oregon untill Christmas time, but I'm crossing my fingers Mom and Dad can come visit me in November so that I can cook them Thanksgiving Dinner. =D

Wowza you copy cat, anywho you didn't even mention the farmers market, art show, soccer game, or anything I am sad. Just joking. However, I was shocked that you did not mention Warped Tour. Oh and MFC = Materials and Fuels Complex.
Love you,
rick

Hi Babe!

This afternoon was a real treat for me and your now 66 year-old Grandpa. I love your Blog! I see that there is an URL on this page to start up one of your own. . . I'll have to think about that. . .

I got a call from Shawn tonight and he says cousin Michael is looking for an appartment for next school year. . . Do you think he might like to look at your old one? You might like to get together when you go back to continue your packing. . . .

See you soon

Love, Nanny
